Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026.
This policy covers Lost Logic Studios's website at lostlogicstudios.com: what it collects when you visit, what third parties collect, and the choices you have. It doesn't cover the add-ons themselves; they run inside Minecraft and send nothing back to us.
What we collect
You never need an account to read the site or download a mod. Signing in is only for commenting and rating (see below). The site keeps two anonymous counts of its own:
- Visits: one count per visit, filed under the site that sent you (for example "youtube" or "direct"), the country you're visiting from, your browser's language setting and which language version of the site you opened. The country is worked out by our host from the connection; the address itself isn't passed to us or stored. No IP address, name or device ID is stored with any of it.
- Downloads: one count per mod download, per day, and which language version of the site it came from. Again, nothing about who downloaded it.
To count a visit once rather than once per page, the site sets a
single sessionStorage marker in your browser. It
isn't a cookie and it's deleted when you close the tab.
If you pick a language in the site's language menu, or say "no
thanks" to the offer of another language, that choice is kept in
your browser's localStorage so the site remembers it.
It never leaves your browser, and clearing your site data removes
it.
Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and running the service. We don't use those logs to identify anyone.
If you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply and help with your question.
Comments, ratings and the forum
Commenting, rating and posting on the forum are optional and need a Google sign-in. When you sign in, Google tells us your account's ID, name and email address. We keep only:
- A scrambled code made from your Google account ID (a one-way hash), so your comments and ratings stay tied to you. The ID itself isn't stored.
- The nickname you choose to comment under.
- Your comments and forum posts, with the time you posted them.
- Pictures you add to forum posts. Your browser shrinks each one before it's sent, which also strips the hidden camera data (such as GPS location). They're stored with our host, Vercel, and anyone with the link can open them. Deleting the post deletes its pictures.
- Messages you send to the Lost Logic team, and our answers. Only the team and our moderators can read them; other players can't, and players can't message each other.
- Your star rating for each mod you rate.
- Your profile: the icon and colour you pick from our lists, your favourite mod, the mods on your "Plays" list (added when you tick them, rate a mod, or download one while signed in), the date you joined, and how many comments and ratings you've made.
Your email address, real name and Google profile picture are never stored. The email is checked once at sign-in, only to recognise our own accounts, and then dropped. Everything in the list above except your messages to the team is public on your profile page, which is kept out of search engines, and anyone can find a profile by searching for its nickname.
To keep you signed in, a sign-in token is saved in your browser's
localStorage for up to 60 days, or until you press
Sign out. The Sign in with Google button is loaded from Google when
you scroll down to the comments; what Google collects through it is
covered by
Google's privacy policy.
New and reported comments and forum posts are emailed to us, through our email provider, so we can keep things clean. You can delete your own comments at any time, and tap your rating again to take it back. Delete my account, on your profile page, removes everything above for good, straight away. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
Advertising and cookies
This site shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to do this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also serve ads on this site and use cookies to do so.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that show its ads at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Opting out of personalised ads
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Opting out doesn't remove ads; they just stop being based on your browsing. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, and the site works the same without them.
Videos and links to other sites
Mod pages embed YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced
mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't set
cookies until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy
policy applies.
Links to Discord, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Ko-fi take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We don't control what they collect.
Children
We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Commenting and rating are for people 13 and older, and the comment form asks you to confirm that before your first post. If you're a parent and think your child has signed in, posted or emailed us personal details, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes up on this page with a new "last updated" date.
