These are armour, not a fifth clothing slot. A hat takes your helmet slot, a vest takes your chestplate slot, and so on. Bedrock has no separate cosmetic layer, so wearing the outfit means wearing it instead of other armour — which is why the gold and diamond sets exist at full vanilla armour values.
What it is
Sixteen pieces of western clothing, cut as wearable armour: cowboy hats, open vests, chaps and boots, in four matched sets.
Nothing here is a retexture. Every piece is its own model — a creased cattleman crown with a brim that curls up at the sides, a vest that hangs open over your shirt, chaps with a V cut at the groin, boots with a pointed toe and a brass spur that turns.
The four sets
| Set | Head | Chest | Legs | Feet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leather | Black Felt Hat | Black Vest | Leather Chaps | Black Boots |
| Wool | Wool Felt Hat | Brown Vest | Wool Chaps | Brown Boots |
| Gold | Gold Hat | Gold Vest | Gold Chaps | Gold Boots |
| Diamond | Diamond Hat | Diamond Vest | Diamond Chaps | Diamond Boots |
Leather and wool are light — protection 1–2, cheap to make, cheap to repair. They’re for looking the part.
Gold and diamond carry full vanilla armour values. Gold is 2/5/3/1 at 77–112 durability; diamond is 3/8/6/3 at 363–528. Wearing the diamond set is wearing diamond armour, so dressing up costs you nothing defensively.
Each set is palette-matched across all four slots, and the accent metal changes with it: brass on leather and wool, silver on gold — gold buckles on a gold hat vanish — and gold on diamond, because a warm metal is the strongest thing to put against cold cyan.
The pieces
Hats
A cattleman crease down the crown, a grosgrain band, and a wide brim swept up on both sides with a binding along the edge. The brim sits just above the brow so your face stays clear, and the crown is wider than your head so it reads as worn rather than perched.
Vests
Open at the front, worn over your shirt. The V opening widens toward the neck, with lapels down both edges and horn buttons on the lower panel. The shoulder straps stop short of the middle, so a collar painted on your skin sits in the gap instead of being buried — a vest should sit beside a shirt collar, not on top of it.
No sleeves. That’s the whole difference between a vest and a chestplate.
Chaps
A full wrap, front and back, with a stepped V cut at the groin where your own jeans show through. A belt with a buckle, and a coiled lariat hanging off the right hip.
They stop clear of your ankles, so whatever boots your skin paints stay visible if you’d rather wear your own.
Boots
A tall stitched shaft, an arched sole, an underslung heel, a pointed toe, and a six-point brass spur behind the heel.
The shaft is sized to slip inside the chaps, so wearing both looks like chaps over boots rather than two things fighting for the same space — which is how they’re actually worn.
Crafting
Every piece is a crafting-table recipe in its set’s material: leather, white wool, gold ingots or diamonds. Chaps take a string for the lariat; boots take a nugget for the spur — iron for the gold set’s silver spurs, gold for everyone else’s.
Where it’s at
Built and playing correctly, but not on general release — it hasn’t been installed clean from a packaged file and walked through end to end yet. Until that’s done, the button sends you to Discord rather than handing you a build that hasn’t been checked.
It isn’t on the Marketplace.
