Two bosses for the farm, and you decide when they come. Nothing here spawns on its own: craft a golden crop, plant it, and a few seconds later a boss stands where it grew. Each one has a fight you can learn, and a weakness every farmer already owns.
Solara the BlightedA sunflower gone wrong, with a beam that follows your footsteps.
Five blocks tall with a burnt, blighted face, 300 health and a swing that hits for nine.
- Solar Beam: she plants herself, turns her face to the sun and charges for a second and a half, then fires a beam that walks the path you took, burning the ground behind it. Walk and it catches you. Sprint and it never quite does. Stand still and it lands on you
- Her brood: five Blighted Sprouts hop out with her, and any that die are replaced every fifteen seconds, never more than five. A sprout that hits you sets you on fire
- The burning path isn’t real fire, so it can’t spread across your fields or into the barn
HollowvineA pumpkin head on root legs, throwing bombs and snaring your feet.
A pumpkin on a tangle of roots, 350 health, and he fights from range.
- Pumpkin bombs: he rears back with a fuse hiss and lobs a pumpkin high at where you’re standing. Step aside once it leaves his hand, or raise a shield toward the blast and it takes all of it
- Root snare: roots grab your feet from up to 20 blocks away and hold you in place. Three axe hits chop you free, or the roots rot away after about eight seconds
- His own pumpkins don’t hurt him
SummoningEight gold nuggets around a sunflower or a pumpkin, then plant it.
| Boss | Craft | Plant it |
|---|---|---|
| Solara | Golden Sunflower: 8 gold nuggets around a sunflower | on grass or dirt |
| Hollowvine | Golden Pumpkin: 8 gold nuggets around a pumpkin | on grass or dirt, with at least 5 pumpkins within four blocks |
Both need about five blocks of open space above. The summoning takes a few seconds, gold sparkles and then smoke, so you have time to step back and draw a weapon. Hollowvine’s patch lights up one jack o’lantern at a time and stays lit after he rises.
Their weaknessBring the harvest tools.
With the Farm Sim Pack installed, a scythe or sickle hits Solara for six times its damage and Hollowvine for five times, around double what a netherite sword does. Bring an axe too for Hollowvine’s roots.
